A Glance at the Week Ahead

Most of the upcoming week looks dry and warm – a lot like the first half of September has been in Southeastern New England. While it will be much warmer than normal, it does not look as humid as last week.

MONDAY
The storm system that brought rain showers on Sunday will still be close enough to keep a lot of clouds around on Monday. There is a slight chance of an inland shower in the afternoon. It will be on the cool side with a 10-20 mph westerly breeze. Highs will be in the low 70s. Skies will clear Monday night, and lows will be in the mid 50s Tuesday morning.

TUESDAY
Look for a plenty of sunshine on Tuesday. Highs will be near 80. Tuesday night will be clear and comfortable, with lows between 54-58.

WEDNESDAY
The great weather continues on Wednesday. Highs will be in the upper 70s to low 80s with a sea breeze. Skies will be mostly sunny. Wednesday night looks mainly clear. Lows will be 55-60.

THURSDAY
You can expect mostly sunny skies on Thursday. Highs will be in the low to mid 80s inland, and upper 70s to low 80s near the coast with an onshore breeze. It will be mainly clear and mild at night. Lows will be near 60.

FRIDAY
The beat goes on through the end of the workweek. Friday will feel more like summer than September. Highs will be in the mid 80s inland. It will be in the upper 70s to low 80s near the costa. Skies will be mostly sunny. Friday night looks mainly clear and mild. Lows will be near 60.

NEXT WEEKEND
Saturday looks warm and dry. It will be more humid than the workweek. Highs will be in the mid 80s inland, and close to 80 at the coast. Skies will be partly to mostly sunny. Saturday night will be muggy and mild, with lows in the 60s. There is a chance of showers on Sunday as a cold front approaches. Highs will be in the upper 70s to low 80s with partly cloudy skies.
