January 10th Update

A lot of the snow that fell this weekend will be melting in the next few days. Rain showers are likely Tuesday night as the temperature climbs from the 30s into the 40s. The best chance of rain is late at night (3am) until around dawn. Clouds may be stubborn on Thursday, but highs will be in the 40s – relatively warm for mid-January.

Expect a soggy commute if you're on the roads before 7 am on Wednesday

Another round of showers is possible late Wednesday night. It will stay mild with temperatures most likely in the upper 30s to low 40s at night. Thursday looks rather warm, with highs close to 50 in spite of clouds. It stays very mild through Thursday night into early Friday before a cold front passes.

Colder weather returns late in the workweek. The temperature will dip into the 30s then 20s by late Friday as a northwest wind brings back a winter chill. It will be in the teens to start the day on Saturday, and clouds will increase in the afternoon. Light snow or flurries are possible Saturday evening and overnight as a storm system passes south of New England. At this point, it does not look like more than a minor (coating-2″) accumulation. If the disturbance passes further south, it will stay cold and dry. Highs will only be in the 20s to near 30 on Saturday.

Expect clouds and sun on Sunday, with highs in the 30s. Warmer and quiet weather is in the forecast for early next week.
