The temperature did not make it out of the 50s in many places over the weekend. The stubborn storm which brought about two inches of rain since Friday to the Providence area is finally departing, and it will be replaced by some nice weather for the start of the October.
Monday will be partly to mostly sunny, with highs in the upper 60s to low 70s. It will stay relatively mild on Tuesday as a slow-moving storm moves from the Southeast into the Ohio Valley. That storm will throw some clouds our way, and possibly a few showers by sunset. Highs will be in the upper 60s to low 70s.
Showers are likely Tuesday night into Wednesday. It won’t be a soaker, however, and it will stay relatively mild, with temps in the 60s Tuesday night and near 70 again on Wednesday.
Thursday will be partly sunny, and quite mild, with highs in the low to mid 70s inland, and near 70 at the coast. It should stay mild, possibly even warmer, on Friday with partly sunny skies.
A cold front will move through sometime between Friday night and Sunday morning. Once again, we may see some weekend showers, but, it doesn’t look like the gloomy weather we endured this past weekend.
Mosquito season continues with no chance of a frost next week. There are some signs of colder weather for the second week of October. You can find out more about that in the Long Range Forecast for Right Weather Pro subscribers early in the week.
