Trick or Treat forecast: Not too scary

Damage and residual effects from Hurricane Sandy will surely cancel Halloween festivities in a large chunk of the Northeast, but it looks trick or treating will happen as scheduled in all but the hardest hit areas of Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts. While the ghost of Sandy will continue spinning in the Northeast, the odds of that system producing anything more than scattered showers is pretty low. It won’t be terribly cold, and for most, if not all, it should be dry. Details for all of Southern New England are below.

3pm
Partly to mostly cloudy, chance of a few showers. Temperature: 55-60

5pm
Partly to mostly cloudy, chance of a stray shower. Temperature: 54-58

7pm
Partly to mostly cloudy, not too chilly. Temperature: 52-56

9pm
Partly to mostly cloudy, but the weather doesn’t matter too much because only the punks are out at that point, anyway. Temperature 48-54
