Quiet stretch of weather in Southern New England

Saturday night will be partly to mostly cloudy and cool, with lows in the mid 30s to low 40s by early Sunday morning. It looks like a great morning in Jamestown/Newport for the 2nd annual Pell Bridge Run. Sunday will be partly sunny, breezy, and milder. It will stay in the 50s near the coast, but may reach 60 degrees inland. The weather will be great for tailgating, and a non-factor for the game as the Patriots host the Bills Sunday afternoon in Foxboro. Sunday night looks very mild for mid-November, with a low in the upper 40s to low 50s.

Monday is likely to be the warmest of the next week with highs inland in the low to mid 60s. Once again, it will be warmest inland due to a south-southeast wind off the chilly ocean cooling the coast. Highs will be closer to 60 degrees near the ocean and bay. Clouds will increase by late Monday, and it may turn considerably cooler, with some low clouds or fog near the coast. A cold front will move through on Tuesday, and with it will come some showers. Tuesday should start mild, but a chilly northwest breeze will have the temperature falling through the 50s into the 40s by Tuesday evening. The end of next workweek looks cool and dry, with highs in the mid to upper 40s.

Right now, it looks like the weather will stay fairly quiet through next weekend, but a Northeast U.S. storm  may  develop during the week of Thanksgiving – which is never a good thing for all the travelers. It’s a long way off, and, if it still looks like a possibility, we’ll be talking about it in the Long Range Forecast for Right Weather Pro members early next week.
