PatsCast: Raw weather at Gillette

Winners of seven straight, the Patriots are on a big time roll. Here’s hoping some lousy weather can’t stop them in an important game against the San Francisco 49ers, one of the better teams in the NFC. Right now, both the Patriots and 49ers are the second seed in their conference, but both have not clinched a first round bye and still have hopes of home field advantage.

The weather looks very shaky for Sunday evening at Gillette Stadium. It is not going to be a huge storm, but some snow/rain is likely for both the tailgating and the game. There is a decent chance that the precipitation starts as snow Sunday, with a change to rain is likely before or during the game. It should not be terribly heavy, but a burst of moderate precipitation for a couple of hours can’t be ruled out. It is unlikely that there will be more than an inch of snow accumulation before the change to rain.
