An unseasonable chill will last for the next couple of days in Southern New England. The temperature will be in the 30s early Monday morning, and warm into the low 50s in the afternoon. After a mostly sunny start, clouds will increase in the afternoon. The wind will increase out of the east-northeast to 10-25 mph. Overall, it will be a very cool late-April afternoon, with the clouds and breeze combining to make it feel colder than the actual air temperature.
Monday night will not be as chilly as the past couple of nights, with cloudy skies and temperatures falling into the upper 30s to low 40s. A storm off the Atlantic Seaboard will clip Southern New England with some clouds and showers on Tuesday. It will be a close call between a raw, steady rain and just a few light rain showers. The best chance of seeing steady rain is on Cape Cod and the Islands. There will be a gusty north-northeast breeze, and the high temperature will struggle to reach 50°!
Wednesday should provide a break in the very cool weather, with some sunshine and highs in the 50s to low 60s. The wind will also be noticeably lighter. The break between weather systems will not be long-lived because a cold front is slated to move through on Thursday or Thursday night. The front will bring the chance of rain showers. Highs will be in the 50s on Thursday with a gusty south-southwest breeze ahead of the front.
In the long term, the weather is looking pretty good for late in the workweek through next weekend. It will be dry and seasonable. Highs should be in the upper 50s to low 60s, with lows in the low to mid 40s.
