Peak fall colors showing in New England

A wonderful fall foliage season is peaking this weekend in a large part of New England. The fall colors are vibrant in the lower elevations of Northern New England as well as most of Southern New England. The highest elevations of Northern New England are fading after peaking last week.

The Columbus Day Weekend weather looks decent for leaf peeping in New England. It will be mainly dry and seasonable. Highs will be in the 60s in Southern New England with partly to mostly cloudy skies. The weekend, especially Sunday and Monday, will be brighter in Northern New England. Highs will also be in the 60s in southern Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont.
