More snow ahead this weekend

Right Weather - Snow Forecast
Right Weather – Snow Forecast

The temperature this weekend will be in the low 30s Saturday morning, then hold steady Saturday afternoon. As the storm gets wound up, the temperature will drop into the upper teens to mid 20s by Sunday morning. The temperature will continue to drop on strong northerly winds Sunday afternoon and evening. There will be a “fluff factor” to the snow inland, and a storm track a little closer to the coast than projected would make a significant difference in the snow totals.

This is an extraordinarily challenging forecast with significant disagreement among computer models used for forecast guidance. Be sure to check rightweather.net for any updates as the storm develops on Saturday.

Looking farther ahead, the active weather pattern continues, and if TF Green picks up at least 4″ of snow this weekend, there is a reasonable chance that the February snowfall record of 30.9″ (1962) will be broken.
